Franklin Sports Pursuit Junior Ice Hockey Stick is designed to be tailored to the specific needs of youth hockey players. This 42" inch right handed kids hockey stick features lower flex, specialized grip texture, and a lightweight design to help youth ice hockey players maintain complete control. We crafted this Pursuit ice hockey stick to include a low, 40 flex to allow players to put more of their body weight on their stick making it easier to bend (or flex) which is critical to players' ability to pass and shoot. It is very important to purchase the correct flex of a stick. A general rule of thumb is that your flex should be roughly half of the player's body weight. Also note that while the height of a stick depends on player preference, it's advised that the stick should end between the player's chin and nose when standing. Added surface texture has also been applied to the top layer of the shaft to make it easy for kids to maintain optimal grip on the ice. We designed it with a mid-curved blade to maximize puck control and shooting technique for junior players.
